The Fall 2023 CAEN Lab Software Environment (CLSE) for Windows has been updated to Windows 11. Watch for an updated look and feel with CLSE 2023 for Windows due to the new Windows 11 user interface, as well as improvements to AppsAnywhere, and version upgrades for key software applications. Additional changes include expanded Linux on Windows options for Windows 11, in which students are now able to perform some tasks that previously required a Linux computer.
The Fall 2023 CLSE for Linux has been updated to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.8 from RHEL 8.7. Users are no longer automatically logged into AFS storage. AFS is still available and can be launched with two commands: kinit and aklog. See additional documentation on how to access AFS.
