Beginning the week of December 13, CAEN will be updating the microphones in College of Engineering classrooms to use Shure models only. Previously, classrooms contained a mix of AKG and Shure microphones, so this change will replace all previous AKG mics with Shure models.
This change should be transparent to most faculty and course instructors, but anyone who had previously used a personal AKG model microphone in a classroom will no longer be able to use it. Individuals may contact CAEN for information on how to obtain a replacement Shure microphone.
The following signage will be placed in each classroom to assist instructors with determining if they have the correct Shure model microphone (click to enlarge).
