Over the course of the summer, Canvas has made several software updates that will change some of the features and interfaces that faculty interact with. Below is a list of several of the changes and the impacts they will have on faculty.
Interface Updates
- Assignments created using an external tool can have a rubric added to them.
- A warning will display when creating an Announcement in an unpublished course that states that Announcements will not be sent retroactively.

- The Grading Scheme has been redesigned to improve accessibility and quality experience for instructors.
- The Gradebook Filter Feature has been updated to provide instructors with a more efficient and intuitive way to organize and sort their gradebook.
