CAEN computer lab updates and changes for fall 2024
Approximately 140 new computers were installed in various CAEN computer labs and learning centers over the summer. These computers have the following specifications:
- Dell Precision 3280 Compact
- Small Form Factor (SFF)
- Processor: Intel i7-14700 5.4 GHz
- Graphics: NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada 16GB
- RAM: 32GB
- SSD: 512GB NVMe

Overleaf Professional now available to students, faculty and staff
Overleaf is an online LaTeX and Rich Text editor that helps users write, edit and produce research papers and project reports more quickly. New MiVideo player launches in Canvas
Effective June 25, 2024, ITS Teaching and Learning will upgrade the default MiVideo media player in Canvas to the newest player by Kaltura. The June upgrade will be the first part of a two-part upgrade to the media player. The second phase, which will address existing embeds in Canvas, is planned for mid-August.
