Understanding your CAEN Windows Home Directory (the N: drive)

Included with a CAEN Account, all eligible students are provided with a 5 GB network-accessible online file storage allocation (a.k.a. a “CAEN Windows Home Directory”). CAEN Windows home directories are mounted as the N: network drive when logging into CAEN Windows lab computers and now, ITS Sites Windows lab computers.

When using a CAEN Windows lab computer, it is recommended that students always store their class work and other files here (and not their ITS AFS Personal Storage, a.k.a. the H: drive).

As always, students will still be able to remotely access the files stored in their CAEN Windows Home Directory. Instructions are available at the CAEN Knowledge Base.
