A collaborative team from CAEN, Resource Planning and Management (RPM), and multiple academic departments have been working on a Professional Development Activity Tracking (PDAT) application. This application was suggested by Michigan Engineering’s DEI Community Teams as an option to help promote and track DEI activities that the College population are doing.
The PDAT system is available to all Michigan Engineering faculty and staff. Individuals can log into PDAT and see the activities they have completed or attended. These will automatically include My LINC training, as well as DEI related Sessions @ Michigan activities. If an activity is listed in your history with incorrect attendance status, you can edit the record.
If your department sponsors training or DEI activities, your staff or faculty who organize these activities can add them to the system, and upload participant rosters. Any data in this system will be automatically added to an individual’s Performance Review or Faculty Activity Report, and show up in their history in PDAT. CAEN is also working with the RPM team to make sure that all Michigan Engineering sponsored professional development activities are uploaded into the system.
Those who are granted special access in their department will be able to see all departmental activities (i.e. activities that have been added by someone in your department). Additionally, they will be able to pull reports regarding which individuals have attended, or find out who has attended a specific training. This can be helpful for understanding who in your department has taken a required training from My LINC.
Additional development on the PDAT system will be forthcoming. If you have any feature requests or find any issues or bugs, email [email protected]. In addition, CAEN staff are available to provide a brief demo at one of your departmental meetings.
