On July 8 and 9, CAEN will be co-sponsoring two seminars and additional consultation sessions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS staff will be on-site to discuss a variety of topics to familiarize attendees with their offerings and services. There will also be time allowed to ask specific questions regarding AWS. Introduction to AWS
Get an introduction to AWS vocabulary and learn more about the services that AWS offers. This is a “getting started” course, allowing attendees to understand the vocabulary and the services that AWS provides. It includes an overview of the support/online tutorial offerings from AWS.

Seminar: Using AWS for Research
Faculty and their graduate students can find out how to get AWS written into research grants, how to pay for AWS services, and other topics to help get started with AWS. Food will be provided.

One-on-One Consultation with AWS Staff
Faculty and their graduate students interested in consulting with AWS staff one-one-one should sign up for a half-hour one-on-one consultation session. Meet with AWS staff who can assist with everything from answering setup and architecture questions to how to best utilize their resources. These consultations will last 30 minutes. IT staff from CAEN are available to sit in and assist with any questions you may have.
