Addressing accessibility is a shared responsibility that enriches our academic environment and supports our goal of fostering an inclusive educational experience for future engineers. This goes beyond legal obligations; it enhances the learning experience for all students.
Accessible design benefits everyone in the university community, making digital resources like websites, mobile applications and digital course material usable for all, including those with disabilities. Faculty members must ensure that all digital tools incorporated into their courses comply with the university’s accessibility policy (SPG 601.20). Refer to the Services for Students with Disabilities Office for consultation services to assist with implementing accessibility needs.
In addition, consider taking the 10-Week Accessibility Challenge or one of the CAEN Fall Workshops that focuses on accessibility.
